4K UPGRADEABLE HD STUDIO CAMERA SYSTEM
Featuring 2/3-inch Global Shutter CMOS sensors, three chip RGB prism optics, and conventional B4 lens mount. The UHK-X650 4K Upgradeable HD Studio Camera System makes its debut as the third member of Ikegami ‘s UNICAM XE camera range, developed with “no compromise” for the HDR, IP, and 4K era.
2/3" 3 CMOS GLOBAL SHUTTER SENSOR
A 3-CMOS optical system using a newly developed 2/3-inch CMOS sensor boasts an S/N of 62dB and a sensitivity of F11 (1080/50p) / F10 (1080/59.94p) in HD. The high dynamic range of the sensor produces high-quality images with excellent color reproduction. The CMOS sensor incorporates a global shutter pixel architecture, enabling the camera to capture natural images even under challenging situations. Still frame replay of fast-moving objects is free from geometric distortion. And there are no flash bands when the camera is shooting under strobe lights or flashes from still cameras.
FIELD UPGRADEABLE
The UHK-X650 can be upgraded in the field for additional functionality as you encounter various needs that arise in the future. Ikegami provides the following perpetual paid-licenses:
4K Capturing (2160p 50/59.94)
HFR Capturing (2x, 3x, and 4x HD)
4K HDR/HD SDR Simulcast
24p Capturing
HIGH FRAME RATE OPERATION
With the HFR option, up to 4x speed in HD* is supported. This is effective when shooting fast-moving subjects such as sports.
SIMULCAST 4K/HDR-HD/SDR & COLOUR SPACE CONVERSION (OPTION)
Together with the BSX-100 and CCU-X100, simultaneous output of 4K HDR and HD SDR video is possible by separate processing of EOTF, Colour Space and Edge Detailing as a standard feature.
Furthermore three separate processing channels enable output of 2160P, 1080P and 1080i video at the same time.
NO COLOUR ALIASING
Three-chip optical technology drastically reduces colour aliasing which is always an issue with single-chip cameras. With the optional Low-Pass-Filter aliasing effects can be reduced even more which is especially helpful when shooting LED walls.
OPTICAL VIGNETTING CORRECTION (OVC)
Automatic electronic compensation of F-drop and vignetting.
REMOTE BACKFOCUS ADJUSTMENT (RBF)
The Remote Backfocus Adjustment function helps setting accurate backfocus even when the camera head is located in an environment where it is hard to reach the back focus adjustment on the lens or difficult to critically see the viewfinder picture.
16-AXIS COLOUR CORRECTOR AND FOCUS ASSIST
Ikegami’s new ASIC AXII delivers full functionality including 16-axis colour correction and focus-assist for 4K and HD video modes.
FOCUS ASSIST FUNCTION
The Focus Assist function is a newly incorporated useful tool, providing very distinct enhancement to the viewfinder signal to enable the camera operator to make critical focus adjustment. The size of area, area color, edge color, and display time on the viewfinder are adjustable in the camera menu.
VARIOUS INTERFACES (OPTION)
Various interfaces like 12G-SDI, Media Over IP, Gigabit Ethernet data trunk are available as option. The companion Ikegami BSX-100 Base Station and CCU-X100 Control Unit enable easy migration from HD to 4K live production through simulcast operation. (Option)
WIDE COLOUR SPACE AND HDR
The gamma setting is selectable and can be customized to create a specific tone. The “HLG“ (Hybrid Log Gamma), which conforms the international standard (ITU-R BT.2100), is pre-installed and enables more neutral image quality with high contrast for a wider dynamic range. This allows for more image information to be retained with greater headroom and color grading.
VIEWFINDERS
The digital interface allows access to the camera menu from the viewfinder (VFL-P700AD).
OPTIMAL CAMERAWORK WITH BOX LENSES
As the VF position can be lowered and close to the optical axis of the zoom lens, the UHK-X650 provides optimal camera operation with box lenses.
